St James, Blackrock, Co. Dublin
A complete interior design and fit-out of a contemporary home, from layout and bespoke joinery to furniture, lighting and the finishing touches throughout.
A calm, characterful home that feels considered in every corner.
This contemporary residence gave us a clean architectural canvas: generous proportions, full-height glazing and a real sense of light throughout. The brief was to bring warmth and personality to those crisp lines without losing their sense of calm, and to design the whole home as one cohesive scheme rather than a series of separate rooms.
Our work spanned the full project, from space planning and bespoke joinery to the furniture, lighting, soft furnishings and accessories we supply and style directly. A shared palette of warm oak, soft charcoal, brushed brass and natural stone runs through the house, so each space feels distinct yet clearly part of the same home. The finishing layer, the pieces our clients live with every day, is where the scheme really comes to life.
The project in motion.

One considered scheme, room to room.
A whole home designed as a single idea.
St James was approached as a complete interior, not a set of separate rooms. A single palette of warm oak, soft charcoal, brushed brass and natural stone runs through the house, so that each space feels distinct yet unmistakably part of the same home. The result is calm, cohesive and easy to live in.
From the layout and flow of the living spaces to the furniture, lighting and finishing pieces, every decision was made with the overall scheme in mind. It is the way we work on most projects: design the whole, then choose each piece so it earns its place within it.
“A home feels finished when every room belongs to the same story.”

Storage designed around the way you live.
Made to measure, room by room.
Bespoke joinery is one of the things we do best, and at St James it does the quiet heavy lifting. Full-height oak storage walls, fitted cabinetry and concealed utility give every space a place for everything, with grain and warmth that off-the-shelf units never quite manage.
Designed and finished to suit the proportions of each room, the joinery ties the scheme together: the same timber and detailing carried through, so the home reads as one considered piece rather than a collection of separate fit-outs.

The finishing layer that makes it home.
Where a scheme becomes personal.
The final layer is the one people feel before they can name it: considered lighting, soft furnishings, accessories and the styling that brings a room to life. These are the pieces we supply and place directly, chosen to suit the home rather than fill it.
Texture does the work when the palette is quiet, from bouclé and linen to glazed ceramics and warm metals. It is the difference between a house that is well built and a home that feels complete, and it is the part of the project our clients live with every day.
Every angle of the home.
About this project.
This was a full interior design and fit-out covering the whole home, from space planning and bespoke joinery through to furniture, lighting, soft furnishings and final styling. We worked across every room to deliver one cohesive scheme rather than a single space.
Both. We take on complete homes like St James as well as individual rooms, including living spaces and bedrooms. Whatever the scale, every project is designed around how you live, with the layout, palette and pieces tailored to your home. The best starting point is a consultation.
Yes. Alongside the design and bespoke joinery, we supply and style the furniture, lighting, soft furnishings and accessories ourselves, much of it available through our showroom and online. Sourcing and placing these pieces is a core part of what we do, and it is what makes a finished room feel complete.
